BE SURE to swipe your card as a Credit Card. Do not swipe it as a Debit Card or Gift Card. If you swipe it as a Debit or Gift Card you will be charged 35 cents per swipe.
3 6 09: We have discovered there is a 35 cent fee incurred whenever the VISA Gift Card is swiped. This was not part of the negotiation process and we are talking to them now to correct this fee. We will apprise you with the final detail as soon as we can.
Tips:
- As with most gift cards, you need to know the amount on your card PRIOR to shopping. The merchant will not be able to ascertain that information for you. You can check your balance quickly online at: https://www.giftcards.com/card_tools/balance.html
- Be sure to read the How to Purchase the VISA Gift Card! information which is a link directly under the VISA Gift Card store icon on your mall. A pdf document will open and explain each step in detail.
- No additional fees are associated with this card. It will say "Debit Card" on the card, but that is a banking requirement. Since you are not assigned a PIN number, you must use it like a credit/gift card (but you need to know the amount on the card prior to shopping).
- You have the option of personalizing the card when you order it. This will appear directly under the name on the card. For example: My Gas Card, My Groceries Card, My Special Gifts Card, My Business Expense Card, etc. will assign a purpose to each card and help you budget and track expenses.
Let's take a look at the potential of JUST the Visa Gift Card Program. I know that the average amount of card value purchased is $500 so I'm going to stick with that. And, I'm going to use you getting just 5 members who gets 5 members. Every purchase returns 1.4% of the face value. You may not think that's much until you can see what happens.
$500 returns 1.4% = $7.00 distributed throughout the 9 or 14 levels:
Level 1 7% = $.49Level 2 14%= $.98Level 3 29%= $2.03Level 4 35%= $2.45Level 5 - 9 3% = $.21 (or 2% for levels 5-14 if you're a World Changer)Level 1 - You buy a $500 Visa Card
500 X 1.4% = $7.00 X 7% = $.49Yep, we already know your personal purchase isn't going to give much because we want you to make more money on the levels below you that contain so many more people!

And, that doesn't even take into account the shopping commissions earned from them using the VISA Gift Card on their Mall - where they will earn, and produce, additional commissions!
POWER SHOPPING!
Are you a Power Shopper?? If you are not MAKING money on almost every penny you are spending, then you have not learned how to be a Power Shopper yet! That means you haven't yet learned how to make My Power Mall create as much income for you as possible!
Let me give you some tips and tricks:
1 - If you are buying a Gift Card valued at $500 or less, or you live in an area that doesn't accept American Express, it would be best to buy a VISA Gift Card.
2 - If you live in an area that accepts American Express, or you're going to buy more than $500 worth of cards a month, you'll want to purchase an American Express card. I'm excited to tell you their shipping is back down to $7.95 and they have waived the card fee! It's once more a great deal! When MPM members stopped buying that got their attention. :)
3 - If you can, buy your Gift Cards with some kind of a Rewards Back Credit card so that you see even more benefit.
Let me share what I am doing to be a POWER SHOPPER. Each month I purchase at least $1500 in American Express Cards. Most merchants in my town accept them and I know I'll make more money this way. However, I also just purchased a $500 Visa Gift Card because there are a few of my favorite stores that do not accept American Express. Since I am committed to harnessing the power of every dollar I spend, I am going to carry both. I paid for both of them with my American Express card that gives me airmiles for every purchase. I'm MAKING money and I'm earning FREE Airline tickets. That's what I call being a POWER SHOPPER!
In the last few days I have used my card to pay for a medical expense, personal printing, groceries, gasoline, 2 meals out, and supplies for my puppy. I ALSO double-dipped on my Mall and bought ink cartridges, puppy supplies I could wait a few days for (with free shipping), office supplies (free shipping), and a hotel room through Hotwire (that I saved $75 on!). Every time I made a purchase I saved money and made money TWICE - AFTER I had earned Airmiles for buying the card. POWER SHOPPING!
But you know what it really takes to be a POWER SHOPPER? Sharing your brilliance with others. Every time I go out I make sure I have a pocket full of Invitation cards. Almost everyone comments on the fact that I'm using a Gift Card (you can be sure they'll comment when you're using the beautiful MPM Visa Gift Cards!). I just smile, say, "I make money every time I use it! Would you like to know how?" They always nod. I hand them the Invitation Card and then get their name, email and phone # so I can follow up.
True POWER SHOPPING comes when I am making money from others shopping!
